Amazing Eclipse in Spain on August 12, 2026.

Well, I am now officially an Eclipse Chaser.    This experience was one of hard work and travel to a far place in beautiful Spain to witness our third eclipse in two years.   We had visited the site the day before to scope out the location and see it it was a good spot.    We were able to drive our rental car to the top on this day.    Much to our surprise, the next day, the police had closed the road and we literally had to walk half a mile at a steep incline with our gear, cooler and blankets.  Let me tell you, it was very tough!   Thankfully, we had cloud cover and no direct sunlight on the way up.   It was totally worth the physical effort we put into it.

We were fortunate that the gentelman that rented us the Airbnb unit in Coves De Vin Roma told us to go here. It was the perfect spot because it was at a very high elevation with a clear view to the West.

The Totality is Upon Us!!

We were so grateful that the clouds cleared up only 15 minutes after the first point of contact.

To witness a total solar eclipse is to experience one of the greatest events in a lifetime. Something that will always stay with you, and you will remember it for the rest of your life. This day was one of three for my wife and me. I am grateful that my brother and sister-in-law were there with us on this special day.
