Pro Mode set ups
All of our ZWO Seestar smart telescopes are set up in Equatorial Mode allowing unto 60 second exposures for higher quality results. Using the equatorial mode on your Seestar offers a couple of really significant advantages. The main one is the elimination of field rotation, which happens in alt-az mode as the telescope tracks objects across the sky and the field slowly rotates, which can cause star trailing and requires cropping. By aligning the telescope with the Earth’s axis in equatorial mode, you prevent that rotation, allowing for longer exposures and capturing finer details. It also really improves tracking performance when you’re looking at targets near the zenith, directly overhead.
You can now capture images like these, tonight!
All the images below we captured using our Seestar smart telescope from Big Bend, Texas. With no external post processing or enhancements. These are straight out of the Seestar! Images (left to right) The Butterfly Cluster, M6. The Wild Duck cluster, M11. Second row, The Orion Nebula, M42, The Western Veil Nebula, NGC 6960. Third row, Fireworks Galaxy, NGC6946, The Moon.

Rent a remote Seestar telescope. The best part is that you can try it for a month or two to see if you like it. Odds are you will not want to give up your rental when you realize how much time you are imaging with clear skies compared to how little you were imaging at home with cloudy conditions. Learn about the most enjoyable and affordable way to capture the wonders of deep space from the comfort of where ever you are.
